Leitis in Waiting X VFD X UKBP

Help VFD support the QTIPOC community under threat in the South Pacific. With the screening of the international award winning Trans activist film 'Leitis in Waiting' on Tuesday the 2nd of July as part of a week of programming leading up to UK Black Pride 2019.

Leitis in Waiting' is a raw yet tender portrait of Joey Mataele and the Tonga leitis, an intrepid group of transgender women fighting a rising tide of religious fundamentalism and intolerance in their South Pacific Kingdom.

This event is part of the week of programming leading up the UK Black Pride on the 7th of July.

**All monies raised will be sent to the 'Tonga Leitis Association' to support their members and their outreach work to bring a greater understanding of the QTIPOC community in the Pacific.

Screening / 8pm to 9.30pm - with a 20 minute interval.

Sharing / 9.30pm to 9.45pm - Opening the floor to any questions about the Leitis and Faa'afine / QTIPOC communities in the Pacific.
