Come and celebrate the release of my short film ‘Deadstart’ along with a discussion with the artist at the end!

DEAD START is a 10 min short acting as a trailer for a virtual novel game or web series I hope to produce about the struggle of Black British identity. It explores insecurities around being a 2nd gen Jamaican and embracing with carnival culture amongst a gentrified Notting Hill. The idea is to raise awareness for the roots of west London and what Notting Hill Carnival really means.

LUXE finds herself aimlessly wondering the streets until she happens upon Dead Start estate, stuck in 70s London where she learns to find her way again.

Looking forward to sharing my baby with you all! 2 years of concepts and developing to share with animation that hopefully will evolve into something bigger soon.

There will be some progress art displayed around the venue to look at the making of the project.
