This year we are excited to be bringing you 'Sucking Face', an anthology of queer and trans kisses and an accompanying exhibition, supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Queer and trans makers depict kisses long and soft, remembered and forgotten. They mould kisses that nearly happened, the ones that were only dreamt about, the ones that changed everything. The work traverses sculptures hard as teeth, paintings wet as a tongue, photography as hot as the inside of a mouth. Short stories drip with yearning, poems are swollen with want. Kisses form around ghosts and guts, snails and butcher’s shops.
The exhibition is open on the 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd August, from 12pm-5pm.
